Terms of Use

Please read these Terms of Use carefully before using parlé. By creating an account or using our app or web platform, you agree to be bound by these terms. If you do not agree, do not use parlé.

1. About parlé

parlé is a speech coaching platform owned and operated by Parle Technologies, based in Toronto, Ontario, Canada. parlé includes two surfaces: the parlé App (iOS) and parlé Web (voice.joinparle.com). Together they provide structured speech training, filler word detection, AI-powered coaching feedback, and a parlé Score credential to help users improve their communication confidence.

2. Eligibility

You must be at least 13 years of age to use parlé. By using parlé, you confirm that you meet this requirement. If you are under 18, you must have the consent of a parent or legal guardian.

3. Account Registration

To access most features of parlé, you must create an account. You agree to provide accurate and complete information during registration and to keep your account credentials secure. You are responsible for all activity that occurs under your account.

We reserve the right to suspend or terminate accounts that violate these Terms or that we believe are being used fraudulently or abusively.

4. Subscriptions and Billing

We do not offer refunds for partial subscription periods. We reserve the right to change pricing with advance notice.

5. Voice Recordings and Content

parlé records your voice during sessions to analyze your speech and deliver coaching. By using parlé, you grant Parle Technologies a limited, non-exclusive license to process your voice recordings solely for the purpose of delivering the service.

You retain ownership of your recordings. We do not use your recordings to train AI models or share them with third parties except as described in our Privacy Policy. You may delete your recordings at any time through the app settings.

All content in parlé, including the curriculum, coaching scripts, session design, the parlé Score system, branding, and user interface, is owned by Parle Technologies and protected by copyright and other intellectual property laws.

The parlé name, wordmark, and parlé Score credential are trademarks of Parle Technologies. You may not use these without our written permission. Nothing in these Terms grants you any right to use our intellectual property except as necessary to use parlé for its intended purpose.

8. The parlé Score

The parlé Score is a credential generated based on your performance in the parlé curriculum. While we strive to make it meaningful and accurate, it reflects in-app performance and is not a professional certification or guarantee of real-world speaking outcomes. Parle Technologies reserves the right to modify the parlé Score methodology at any time.

9. Disclaimer of Warranties

parlé is provided "as is" and "as available" without warranties of any kind. We do not warrant that the platform will be uninterrupted or error-free. We do not guarantee specific improvements to your speaking ability — results depend on consistent engagement with the curriculum.

10. Limitation of Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, Parle Technologies shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages arising from your use of parlé. Our total liability for any claims shall not exceed the amount you paid to us in the 12 months preceding the claim.

11. Indemnification

You agree to indemnify and hold harmless Parle Technologies, its officers, directors, employees, and agents from any claims, damages, losses, or expenses arising from your use of parlé or your violation of these Terms.

12. Termination

We may suspend or terminate your access to parlé at any time for any reason, including violation of these Terms. You may delete your account at any time through the app settings. Account deletion results in permanent loss of your session history, parlé Score, and voice recordings.

13. Governing Law

These Terms are governed by the laws of the Province of Ontario and the federal laws of Canada, without regard to conflict of law principles. Any disputes shall be resolved through binding arbitration in Toronto, Ontario, Canada, except that either party may seek injunctive relief for intellectual property matters.

14. Changes to These Terms

We may update these Terms from time to time. We will notify you of material changes by posting the updated Terms in the app and updating the effective date above. Your continued use of parlé after changes are posted constitutes acceptance.

15. Entire Agreement

These Terms, together with our Privacy Policy, constitute the entire agreement between you and Parle Technologies regarding your use of parlé.
