Parle Technologies ("we," "our," or "us") operates the parlé platform, which includes the parlé App (iOS) and parlé Web (voice.joinparle.com). This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, disclose, and protect your personal information when you use either surface.
By using parlé, you agree to the collection and use of information as described in this policy. If you do not agree, please discontinue use.
1. Information We Collect
Account information. When you create an account, we collect your name, email address, and any profile information you provide.
Voice recordings. The parlé App records your voice during coaching sessions. These recordings are processed to analyze filler words, pacing, and speech patterns. Recordings are stored securely and associated with your account.
Meeting transcripts. parlé Web allows you to upload meeting transcripts for analysis. These transcripts are processed to identify communication patterns and generate coaching insights.
Usage data. We collect information about how you interact with parlé, including sessions completed, scores, streak data, transcript uploads, and in-app behavior. This helps us improve the product and personalize your experience.
Device information. We may collect information about your device, including device type, operating system version, and app version for diagnostic purposes.
Payment information. Subscription payments for the parlé App are processed by Apple through In-App Purchase. Payments for parlé Web are processed by a third-party payment provider. We do not directly collect or store your payment card information.
2. How We Use Your Information
- Provide, operate, and improve parlé App and parlé Web
- Analyze your voice recordings and transcripts to generate your parlé Score, filler word counts, and coaching feedback
- Track your progress, streak, and session history
- Send you notifications related to your training and account
- Process subscription management and billing
- Respond to your support requests
- Comply with legal obligations
3. AI Processing
parlé uses artificial intelligence to analyze your voice recordings and meeting transcripts and to deliver personalized coaching feedback. Your recordings and transcripts are processed by third-party AI services solely for the purpose of providing parlé's coaching features.
We do not use your recordings or transcripts to train AI models. AI processing is performed under data processing agreements that restrict how your data may be used.
By using parlé's coaching features, you consent to your voice recordings and transcripts being processed by our AI service providers for the purpose of delivering analysis and feedback.
4. Data Storage and Security
Your data is stored securely using industry-standard cloud infrastructure. We implement security measures including encryption in transit and at rest. No method of transmission or storage is 100% secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.
Voice recordings are stored for the duration of your account. You may delete your recordings at any time through the app settings.
5. Data Retention
We retain your personal information for as long as your account is active or as needed to provide services. If you delete your account, we will delete your personal information within 30 days, except where we are required to retain it for legal or regulatory purposes.
6. Sharing Your Information
We do not sell your personal information. We share your information only in the following circumstances:
- Service providers. We share data with trusted third-party providers who help us operate parlé, including authentication, database, payment processing, and AI analysis services. All providers are bound by data processing agreements.
- Legal requirements. We may disclose your information if required by law, court order, or government authority.
- Business transfers. If Parle Technologies is acquired or merges with another company, your information may be transferred as part of that transaction.
7. Your Rights
You have the following rights regarding your personal information:
- Access. You may request a copy of the personal information we hold about you.
- Correction. You may request that we correct inaccurate information.
- Deletion. You may request deletion of your account and associated data through the app settings or by contacting us.
- Portability. You may request your data in a portable format.
- Withdrawal of consent. You may withdraw consent to AI processing of your voice recordings by discontinuing use of coaching features.

8. Children's Privacy
parlé is not intended for users under the age of 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If we become aware that a child under 13 has provided us with personal information, we will delete it promptly.
9. Canadian Privacy Law
As a company based in Ontario, Canada, we comply with the Personal Information Protection and Electronic Documents Act (PIPEDA) and Ontario's applicable privacy laws. We collect, use, and disclose personal information only for purposes that a reasonable person would consider appropriate in the circumstances.
10. Changes to This Policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. We will notify you of material changes by posting the updated policy in the app or by email. Your continued use of parlé after changes are posted constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.
